Howie Firth visited Timespan to speak on ‘The Dogs of Loth’, looking at the ways in which history and philosophy of science can reach back several thousand years into the past and shed light on key developments in technology, in particular metal-working. He showed how images from the past can provide clues to how people saw the world. An audience of 15 people asked numerous questions and opened up various fresh and interesting issues.
