Achiltibuie 24 November: Heroes of the Light..
13 November 2010

20 people turned out on a snowy night at the Coigach Community Hall in Achiltibuie to hear how four men in war-torn 17th-century Europe fought a battle of ideas. The hall was a warm and comfortable setting for the story of Kepler, Galileo, Descartes and Newton, which was followed by an interesting discussion and also tea and coffee provided by the community. Earlier in the day Howie Firth visited the school to speak to the upper primary, who paid close attention to the subject and asked a range of questions about aspects of light and time.
